it’s a beautiful season to lean into everything that is changing, everything that is uncertain, and the ways in which we resist what is.
one unexpected day this summer, Renley stopped nursing. I hadn’t even realized it until weeks later when I couldn’t recall the last time I had breastfed her. This was a journey the two of us had been in for the last 28 months, an ending that slipped away so quietly that it felt like just another moment in time that had come to pass.
We opened a box of glow-in-the-dark bracelets tonight and danced around in the garage; our own make shift performance at the end of a long day.
Living intentionally often asks us to explore our relationship to many aspects of our lives- our words, actions, work, ourselves, and others- in pursuit of creating lives that really honor what matters most to us.
the invitation: take notice of places of contraction in the body, heart and mind, and practice expanding, breathing, and opening.
